It was er awkward um having my trousers legs sliding up all day, and my shirt and tie, too. I've never before actually wanted to skip class At least it wasn't viol-- At least it wasn't just me I uh can't imagine how bad it was uh for the er girls.

I'm just glad that the fighting and punching and black eye didn't involve me this time
Mum finally owled me the book I left at home. It took her a while to find it, I think I must have accidentally kicked it under the bed when I was packing. The Barhart Concise Dictionary of Etymology, it's the hardcover edition published in 1995. I found it in a used bookstore in London over the summer, and I can't believe anyone would want to sell something like that. It was even still in great condition, only a few tears on some of the pages and a bit of wear to the edges of the cover. Their loss was my gain, though.
